NEWPORT, R.I. - Old Dominion University women's sailing finished in ninth place in the national semifinals on Tuesday to qualify for the finals beginning tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in Newport, R.I.
The Division A team of Andrea Luna, Cady Johnson and Grace Mason reeled in eight top-five finishes, including a race win on Monday.
The Division B tandem of Sarah Streater, Katelyn Talley, Jocelyn Rovniak and Johnson took 10th, including a race win on Monday and a third place finish in the second to last race of the semifinals.
The Monarchs finished in ninth one point behind Navy and 17 points in front of Wisconsin to secure the spot in the championship finals.
