Simmermacher & Vlasinova Named All-C-USA Golfers

IRVING, TX.-- Old Dominion University freshman golfers Maggie Simmermacher (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Katerina Vlasinova (Trebic, Czech Republic) were named to the Conference USA All-League teams. Simmermacher, who was also named Freshman of the Year  was selected to the first team and Vlasinova was a third team All-C-USA pick.

Simmermacher registered in a stellar rookie campaign, earning Freshman of the Year honors as well as First-Team All-C-USA recognition. The freshman tied for fourth at the C-USA Championship with a 3-under 213 en route to C-USA All-Tournament team accolades. Simmermacher was a three-time C-USA Golfer of the Week, recording five top-10 placements in eight events. She compiled a 73.9 stroke average as she placed second at the John Kirk Tournament, tied for third at River Landing, and fourth at the Lady Pirate and C-USA Championships.

Vlaasinova posted a 75.9 stroke average and had two top 10 finishes. She tied for sixth at the Fightin’ Camel Tournament and ninth at the Golfweek Tournament.
