VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Old Dominion University women’s basketball head coach Karen Barefoot will be speaking at the Kempsville Ruritan Club on Monday, April 20. The Kempsville Ruritan Club meets monthly and currently consists of roughly 35 members. Monday’s dinner meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. EST.
The Lady Monarchs are coming off a 21-13 season, which is the most wins in a season under Coach Barefoot while at Old Dominion. The Lady Monarchs advanced to the semifinals of the Conference USA Tournament, before advancing to the Second Round of the WNIT.
Old Dominion enters next season just three wins shy (997) of being only the fourth team to ever reach 1,000 victories as a program. Tennessee, Louisiana Tech and James Madison have already reached the historic plateau.
