BUFFALO, N.Y. – Old Dominion University divers Rachel Eckert and Cory Moreno will compete in the NCAA Zone Championships starting Monday at the University of Buffalo on Monday.
The event starts tomorrow at noon and continues on Tuesday at noon.
A senior from Rochester, N.Y., Eckert competes in the NCAA Zones for the fourth time in her collegiate career in both the 1 and 3-meter dives. Eckert became the first Conference USA diver not from Houston to win both the 1 and 3-meter dive at the C-USA Championships, and already holds school records in both dives.
A freshman from Avondale, Ariz., Moreno won the 1-meter dive at the C-USA Championships and placed second in the 3-meter dive.
The top seven women on every event will automatically qualify for NCAA. The top five men from the one-meter and the top seven from the three-meter and platform automatically qualify.
