Simmermacher Fourth - Just Three Strokes Out At Panther Tournament

STOCKBRIDGE, GA— Old Dominion has three golfers in the top 20 led by freshman Maggie Simmermacher (Buenos Aires, Argentina) who is just three strokes in back of the lead after two rounds of the John kirk Panther Intercollegiate which is being held at the Eagle’s Landing Country Club.

Simmermacher shot 74-72 for a 146 only three shots behind the leaders Lauren Court of the host Georgia State and Fatima Fern Cano of Troy (143).

Joining Simmermacher in the top 20 are  junior Charlotte Hindmoor (78-76=154) from Darlington, England and sophomore Rachel Walker (75-79=154) from Dumfries, Scotland.

As a team, the Lady Monarchs (304-307=611) are in fifth as Middle Tennessee leads the field with a 36 hole 600.

Statisically, Simmermacher is tied for second in par 3 scoring (3.00/E), followed by Hindmoor and Walker (3.13/+1). Simmermacher had eight birdies, while Hindmoor is tied for fourth with 24 total pars.
