SIMMERMACHER 15TH AT UNF COLLEGIATE
JACKSONVILLE, FL. – Old Dominion University freshman Maggie Simmermacher (Buenos Aires, Argentina) shot a 74 in the third final round to finish (76-77-74) tied for 15th at the University of North Florida Collegiate which was played at the Jacksonville golf and Country Club.
Simmermacher entered the final round in 22nd. Fellow ODU freshman Katerina Vlasinova (Trebic, Czech Republic) tied for 24th (77-74-80) after finishing the 54 holes at 231. Megan Thothong (75-75-68=217) of the University of Houston won the event by one stroke over Bertine Strauss of Texas. Houston also won the team title with a five-stroke victory over Texas.
The Lady Monarchs compete in the Mountain View Collegiate, March 20-21 in Tucson, AZ.
