BUFFALO, N.Y. - For the second-straight day Old Dominion University diver Rachel Eckert qualified for the NCAA Championships with a sixth place finish in the 1-meter dive at the NCAA Zones at the University of Buffalo. Freshman Cory Moreno earned a 24th place finish in the men's 3-meter dive.
The day after becoming the first Monarch diver to reach the NCAA Championships in the 3-meter dive, Eckert earned a sixth place spot with a score 543.60, just three points behind the fifth place position.
In his first trip to the NCAA Zones, Moreno improved on his first day in the 1-meter with a 24th place finish on Tuesday in the 3-meter with a score of 280.30.
Eckert will compete in the NCAA Championships in Greensboro, N.C. on March 19-21.
