PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL—ODU senior Jamison Randall (Cumberland, RI.) shot 76-76-77=229, sophomore David Langley (Buckinghamshire, England) shot 75-76-79=230 to finish 36th and 39th respectively at the Sea Best Invitational at Sawgrass-Dye’s Valley. As a team, the Monarchs finished 14th with a three-round score of 930.
Joining Randall and Langley was Seth Sweet, a junior (Madison, MD) who shot 78-75-78=236 for 43rd. North Carolina finished at plus 33 and won the tournament by seven strokes with an 873 over the University of Florida.
Individually, John Oda of UNLV captured the medalist crown with a 54-hole score of (71-72-67) 210 which was two strokes better than first round leader AJ Crouch of Florida who finished with a (69-70—73) 212 score.
The Tournament featured five nationally ranked teams which included No. 3 Florida State and 15th ranked North Carolina.
The Monarchs return to action Feb. 20-22 at the Desert Intercollegiate at Palm Desert, CA.
