CONWAY, S.C. - Josh Eldridge went 3-for-4 with a go-ahead home run for Old Dominion University baseball but two runs apiece in the seventh and eighth innings gave No. 14 Maryland a 5-2 win at Coastal Carolina Saturday night.

Eldridge led off the sixth inning with an opposite field home run to left field to give ODU a 2-1 lead and the Monarchs' first lead of 2015.

The lead did not last long as LaMonte Wade drove in a pair of runs in the seventh with a two-run single to give Maryland a 3-2 lead and in the eighth Anthony Papio delivered a two-run single to up the Terps' lead to 5-2.

Eldridge started the bottom of the eighth with a double but was left stranded.  ODU mounted a ninth inning rally as Justin Hayes and Matt Cogen walked to lead things off but a pair of fly outs and a pop up finished off the game for Maryland.

Zach Morris earned the win for the Terrapins while Kevin Mooney picked up the save. Jake Josephs suffered the loss for ODU.  Joey Benitez started the game for the Monarchs and went four innings, striking out two and giving up one run.

Due to inclement weather in South Carolina, ODU will play Canisius on Sunday at 2 p.m.
