ABOUT No. 10 LOUISVILLE
Louisville, who enters its first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2014-2015, returns eight letterwinners from last year's team that posted a 33-5 mark and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight.

This year's group of Cardinals is led by five seniors, including Sara Hammond, a preseason all-ACC selection by the league's coaches and media. Hammond, who earned WBCA All-America honorable mention status last year, averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds while connecting on 51 percent of her shots. Bria Smith is the other returning starter, with Jude Schimmel as the only other student-athlete who saw significant minutes last year.

The squad also features a bevy of youth, with a five-member freshman class that was tabbed as the eighth-best group in the country. It includes two McDonald's All-Americans in Myisha Hines-Allen and Mariya Moore in addition to a four-star standout Arica Carter.

The Cardinals enter Monday’s game with an 8-1 record for the 2014-15 season. They look to their freshman forwards Hines-Allen, who is averaging 15.4 points-per-game and 5.3 rebounds-per-game and Moore who is averaging 14.0 points-per-game and 4.3 rebounds-per-game so far this season.

The Cardinals have been to the national championship game twice, the Elite Eight once and the Sweet 16 two times under head coach Jeff Walz’s leadership. Their record through Walz’s direction is a remarkable 181-70 (.721).

The Cardinals look to bounce back after loosing to No. 8 Kentucky 77-68 on Dec. 7.
