NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion rowing team made their way to Seattle, Wash. to compete in the Head of the Lake Regatta on Sunday, Nov. 2.
The varsity 8 boat came in fifth place in the Championship Women’s 8+-Spoonsored by POCOCK Racing Shells division, beating out Seattle University, Western Washington University and the Vancouver Rowing Club. The boat finished in a time of 19:33.54.
In the second race of the day, the second varsity 8 came in fourth place in a time of 20:01.89 in the Women’s Collegiate JV 8+ division. ODU finished ahead of the University of Puget Sound, University of Portland, University of Oregon, Pacific Lutheran University and Pacific University.
The Lady Monarchs will close the fall slate at the Rivanna Romp on Nov. 16, hosted by the University of Virginia.
