Kingspoint, N.Y. – The Old Dominion sailing team finished fourth of 18 teams in the War Memorial regatta held at the State University of New York – Maritime College, in Kingspoint, N.Y.
The Monarchs had two boats sailing at this weekend’s event. Esteban Forrer and Gabriel Smith finished fourth in the Division A boat, which included four top-three finishes in eight heats, one being a first place finish. In the Division B boat, Augie Dale, Daniel Lochner and Jason Bankert, finished sixth with three top-three finishes, including two first place finishes.
The Monarchs will be back on the water next weekend when they travel to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. for the Hap Moore Team Race and to Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash. For the ICSA Single-handed National Championships.
