NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion rowing team will travel to Seattle, Wash. this weekend to compete in the Head of the Lake Regatta on Sunday, Nov. 2.

The Lady Monarchs are coming off a successful weekend at the Head of the Schuylkill, after recording four top-5 finishes, including a silver medal in the Women’s Championship Club Eight division.

The Lady Monarchs have never competed in the Head of the Lake Regatta. The regatta was established in 1981 and is considered the largest fall regatta on the West Coast. The event is hosted by Lake Washington Rowing Club and the University of Washington and will start on Lake Union, continue east through the Montlake Cut to Lake Washington and finish near the UW’s Conibear Shellhouse.

Old Dominion will have two boats competing on Sunday, with the Varsity 8 Championship Women’s 8 Sponsored division and the 2V in the Women’s Collegiate JV 8 division. For more information regarding the race, please visit here.
