Old Dominion Head Coach Angie Hind on Alexis Thomas:
“‘Lexi’ is possibly one of the most positive and engaging young women I have had the pleasure of knowing. She has came back this year from an ACL injury with such courage and has been a shining example of how to deal with adversity with such class and determination. She has been a real positive role model and captain this year and has made an impact on many of our younger players this season with her kindness, motivation and resilience. It has been my great pleasure to have had the opportunity to get to know and coach ‘Lexi’ this year and I know that this program is in a better place because of her influence this year.”

Hind on Jessie Klamut:
“Jessie simply leads by example. Whether it be on the field or in the classroom, or in the community she is a tremendous role model for this program. Her qualities as a forward have helped this program step forward this year and I have witnessed how respected she is by our opponents as well. Jessie is a tremendously talented player who matches her quality with work rate. She has without a doubt made a real impact on this program and is a genuine pleasure to be around. She’s always grounded and always wanting the best for those around her. She has been a stellar captain this season and I thank her for all she has done for this program.”

Hind on Taylor Smith:
“Taylor, whilst naturally quiet has really stepped forward this year and shown great inner strength and determination to help lead this program. I have truly enjoyed getting to know and being able to coach Taylor; not only is she a tremendously technical player but she is such a mature and genuine person who has brought so much more to this program than she realizes this season. Her love of the game is evident in her contribution towards coaching young players and I have no doubt that she will continue to inspire and encourage those around her. Taylor has made a genuine impact to this program as a captain this year and I thank her for all that she has contributed.”
