Vlasinova & Simmermacher Lead ODU At Campbell

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – ODU freshmen Katerina Vlasinova (Trebic, Czech Republic) and Maggie Simmermacher (Buenos Aires, Argentina) are eighth and ninth respectively after two rounds of the 20th Fighting Camel Fall Classic at Keith Hills Country Club. In all, four Lady Monarchs are in the top 25.

Vlasinova shot 75-75=150 for eighth spot and Simmermacher shot 76-75=151 to tie for ninth. Sophomore Rachel Walker is tied for 19th after shooting 78-76=154, and Charlotte Hindmoor is 24th (81-76=157).

Host school Campbell (296-297=593) holds a seven-stroke lead in the team standings following 36 holes of play over High Point. The Lady Monarchs (306-302=608) are fourth just four strokes behind Nova Southeastern (Ft. Lauderdale, FL.) who is in third place.

High Point sophomore Sarah Bae (70-72—142) compiled nine birdies Monday to lead the 52-golfer field and tied the tournament 36-hole record at 2-under-par 142. She leads Campbell’s Nadine White by two strokes. The final round is Tuesday.
