ODU At W&M Tuesday Night On Cox 11

NORFOLK, VA—The ODU Soccer Monarchs (6-4-1) fresh off their Conference USA victory over No. 4 ranked Charlotte travel to Williamsburg to take on the Tribe of William and Mary (5-9-1) Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Albert-Dailey Soccer Field.

The contest will be televised live on Cox Channel 11 and HRSN.TV. The match will also be televised in Roanoke (Cox Channel 9) and in Northern Virginia (Cox NOVA 74 & 77). Dean Linke will provide the play-by-play and Keith Tabatznik will do the color.

THE SERIES: William and Mary lead the series, 22-20-8 and have won the last two meetings, defeating ODU 2-1 in 2012 and 4-0 at ODU last year. 11 of the 50 matches have gone into overtime, the last was in 2007.

ABOUT THE TRIBE:Chris Albiston leads the tribe in scoring with six goals, two assists and 14 points. William Eskay has four goals with three assists and 11 points. Goal keeper Bennett Jones has a 1.50 goals against average and has 53 saves and two shutouts.

COMMON OPPONENTS:  W&M lost to Charlotte, 3-1; North Carolina 2-0, and UNCW 1-0. ODU defeated Charlotte, 2-1; lost to UNC 1-0 and UNCW, 2-1.

ABOUT THE MONARCHS:  Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Tiesenhausen ranks 19th nationally and second in C-USA in save percentage at .846. He leads the league with 54 saves, while junior Ryan Condotta ranks fourth in C-USA with two game winning goals.

DAWSON NEARS 200 WINS AT ODU: The next ODU victory will be 200 career wins for Alan Dawson at ODU.

DID YOU KNOW?: In beating No. 4 Charlotte Saturday, the Monarchs are 4-4-1 since 2010 against the NSCAA top 10.
