NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion rowing team is back in action this weekend in the 50th Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass. This marks the second-consecutive year the Lady Monarchs will compete in the Boston regatta.

Last Time at the Head of the Charles
The Old Dominion women's rowing team competed in their first ever Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston on Oct. 19-20, 2013. Overall, they beat 12 teams and finished in the top-25 collegiately.
ODU sent a lineup that had an average age of 19, which tied several other schools for the youngest. Old Dominion started in lane 29, competing against 39 other organizations involved in the regatta. They finished 28th overall in a hotly contested event and finished 24th among collegiate crews.
ODU beat out the Naval Academy, Boston College, George Washington University, the University of Connecticut, Rutgers University, College of the Holy Cross, Villanova University and Temple University.
ODU Lineups
The Lady Monarchs will have three boats entered in the regatta. The ODU Second Varsity 8 is entered in the Women’s Club Eight’s and the Varsity 8 in entered in the Women’s Champ Eight’s division.
