GREENVILLE, NC—Old Dominion University freshman Maggie Simmermacher finished fourth at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate after shooting a 54-hole score of (72-72-75) 219. The tournament was held at the Greenville Country Club.
Simmermatcher, the top ranked amateur and member of Argentina’s national squad was also selected to the All-Tournament team. She finished five strokes behind the tournament champion Jennifer Dilger of Winthrop. Simmermacher led the entire tournament with 15 total birdies and was second in par 3 scoring at 2.83 (-2).
Fellow freshman Katerina Vlasinova (Trebic, Czech Republic) was third in the tournament in par three scoring at 2.92 (-1).
Georgia Regent- Augusta captured the 18-team tournament with a 54-hole score of 876 while the Lady Monarchs finished seventh (298-302-312=912).
The Lady Monarchs return to action Oct 20 and 21 at the Fighting Camel Classic in Buies Creek, NC.
