NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion field hockey team (1-3) is ranked No. 17 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll.
Last weekend, the Lady Monarchs fell to Wake Forest, which was ranked No. 11 and is now ranked No. 10, on Friday. ODU bounced back and defeated Liberty the following Sunday, 2-1.
Sophomore midfielder Megan Byas led the Lady Monarchs’ offense with two goals and an assist. For her efforts, she was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week.
Old Dominion is back in action on Friday when it takes on No. 4 Duke at 3:00 p.m. at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex. The Lady Monarchs will also host Monmouth on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
