Pawley's Island, SC.-- ODU freshman Katerina Vlasinova (Trebic, Czech Republic) shot even par 71 and is tied for second after 18 holes of the Golfweek Program Challenge being held at the Caledonia Golf and Fish Club. Vlasinova is tied with Valentina Romero of Furman and both are just one stroke behind today's leader Nadine White of Campbell. As a team, the Lady Monarchs are in third place.
Lady Monarchs Lauren Eklund (Charlottesville,VA) and Rachel Walker(Dumfries, Scotland) are tied for 17th after shooting 75, while Charlotte Hindmoor shot 76 (Darlington, England) and is tied for 24th.
Vlasinova had four pars on the day and shot even on both the front and back nine today.
The Lady Monarchs are playing without incoming freshman, Maggie Simmermacher (Buenos Aires, Argentina) who is representing Argentina at the World Amateur Team Championships, September 3-14, 2014 in Japan. Currently, Simmermacher is the No. 1 ranked Amateur and Youth Golfer in Argentina.
