ST. MARY’S, Md. – Old Dominion University sailing is in seventh place after the first day at the Gill National Championships, trailing sixth place Boston College by just four points.
The team of Esteban Forrer, Gabriel Smith and Julia Wiesner earned a sixth place finish in Division A. The trio finished the day with three top-six finishes and five top-10 placers.
In Division B, Andrea Luna, Rachel Austin and Chloe Constants finished in seventh, just four points behind sixth place Georgetown. They produce four top-five runs, including a pair of third place spots.
The championships conclude tomorrow and start in the morning.
