NORFOLK, Va. – Maia Lee, who will join the Lady Monarch’s roster next season, was named to the 2014 6A All-State Girls Basketball Second Team for the state of Virginia. This past season, Lee averaged 14.5 points per game and led McLean High School to a 20-6 overall mark.
Maia Lee is a 6-foot-3 forward, is currently rated the 21st best high school girl’s basketball player in the country at her position by ESPN, as well as rated a three-star recruit by ESPN. Besides making the all-state team, Lee was also named to the All Liberty Conference First Team and All Northern Region First Team.
Barefoot remarked, “Maia is an exceptional athlete. She is a great defender who is long, aggressive and is an outstanding rebounder. She runs the floor and can score in transition. Maia really fits our up-tempo system.”
