ANNAPOLIS, Md. - For the first time since 2002 Old Dominion University Sailing qualified for the ICSA/APS Team Race National Championships with a fourth place finish today at the Prosser Trophy hosted by Navy.
The Monarchs went 10-11 during the team races to finish in a tie with Fordham but earned the fourth and final spot for the national championships but held the tiebreaker over the Rams by holding a 2-1 edge in races against each other.
ODU's skippers were Esteban Forrer, Jake Spracher, Joe David and Daniel Lochner, while the crew were Gabriel Smith, Julia Wiesner, Chloe Constants and Colin Voigt.
The ICSA/APS Team Race National Championships will be held May 31-June 2 at St. Mary's (Md.)
