Norfolk, Va. – The Old Dominion University women’s basketball team will hold its annual end of season banquet at the ODU Rowing Center at Lakewood Park on Wednesday, April 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is open to all ODU supporters, alumni, fans, and family members. Tickets to attend the event are $25 per person, which satisfies admittance, food, and beverages. To RSVP, contact Sara Isenhour at 757-683-6963 by Wednesday, April 16.

--- A LOOK BACK AT THE LADY MONARCH’S 2013-14 REGULAR SEASON ---
The Lady Monarchs basketball team won nine of their last 12 ballgames but fell to Auburn, 82-59, in the Second Round of the 2014 Women’s National Invitational Tournament at Auburn Arena. ODU finished the 2013-14 season with an 18-16 record. Additionally, on March 26, Jennie Simms was named the NAACP Female Athlete of the Year for academic excellence and community service efforts.

Shae Kelleys Nets Over 1,000 Points in First Two Season at Old Dominion
On March 20, Shae Kelley joined an elite class, becoming just the fifth Lady Monarch to score 1,000 career points in just her first two seasons at ODU. The only other four players to record 1,000-plus points throughout their first two seasons in a Lady Monarch uniform were: Anne Donovan, Inge Nissen, Nancy Lieberman and Clarisse Machanguana.

Attendance
-Old Dominion averaged 2,884 fans per contest, which is second in Conference USA and No. 38 in the country.

Protecting the Ted
-The Lady Monarchs finished the season 11-4 while playing at home.

Shae Kelley Named to First Team All-Conference USA
On March 9, Conference USA officials announced that ODU’s junior forward, Shae Kelley, had been named to the All-Conference USA First Team. Joining Kelley on the First Team were: Jada Payne (So., G, East Carolina), Jerica Coley (Sr., PG, FIU), Ebony Rowe (Sr., F, Middle Tennessee), Jessica Kuster, (Sr., F, Rice), Jamierra Faulkner (Sr., PG, Southern Miss), Karisma Chapman (Sr., F, UAB) and Kayla Thornton (Sr., F, UTEP).

Galaisha Goodhope Garners All-Conference USA Academic Team Honors
Galaisha Goodhope was named one of just five members to the Conference USA All-Academic Team. Goodhope is the only underclassman to garner this prestigious honor.

Joining Goodhope on the 2014 Conference USA All-Academic team are Academic All-Americans Ebony Rowe of Middle Tennessee and FIU's Jerica Coley, as well as FAU’s senior Kimberley Smith and junior Jamie Kaplan of Tulane.

In order to be eligible for the distinction, nominees must hold a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average, be a starter or key reserve for their team and at least be of sophomore academic standing.

Karen Barefoot Claims Win No. 250
When the Lady Monarchs defeated Marshall 65-52 in overtime on February 1, at the Ted Constant Center, the victory gave ODU head coach, Karen Barefoot, 250 career wins.

ODU's Recruiting Class Nationally Ranked No. 43
The All Star Girls Report has released their top 115 schools’ incoming recruiting classes for 2014 and has ranked the Old Dominion University women’s basketball team No. 43, which is the top ranked team in Conference USA.
