NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football completed its 11th practice on Friday morning.  The one hour and 35 minute workout featured several highly cometitive periods that included red zone 7-on-7 and team drills.

The final tune-up before Saturday's scrimmage delivered big plays for both the offense and defense.  In the first team period, Taylor Heinicke connected with Zach Pascal on a pair of deep balls for touchdowns while Sandy Chapman intercepted a pass in the end zone for the defense.

Later on in the practice, the defensive line was able to get pressure and produce sacks from Andrew Everett, Rashaad Coward and Gary Scruggs.

In the final periods, TJ Ricks intercepted a pass in the end zone while Keshawn Henderson caught a TD pass.

The Monarchs will head back to Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium tomorrow for the second scrimmage of the spring.  The scrimmage will begin at 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
