GULF SHORES, AL-- Old Dominion University freshman Rachel Walker (Dumfries, Scotland)is tied for sixth after shooting 72 at the first round of the Conference USA Women's Golf Championships at the Peninsula Golf and Raquet Club. Overall, ODU is sixth with a 297 in the first round, while Tulane leads the event by five strokes over second placed UTSA after shooting 281.
Fabiola Arriaga of UTSA, Gemma Dryburgh and Emily Penttila of Tulane are tied for first with 68's, with ODU's Walker tied for sixth with a 72. Lady Monarch seniors Kimberley Bradbury and Elizabeth Haycock shot 74 in the first round and are tied for 22nd.
