STOCKBRIDGE, GA-- Lady Monarchs senior Gemma Fuster fired a first round 74 and is only three strokes behind the leader after one round at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate at the Eagles Landing Country Club. As a team, the Lady Monarchs are in fifth only seven strokes behind the leader and host school, Georgia State.
Fuster trails Amira Alexander (71) of Georgia by three strokes, while fellow senior Elizabeth Haycock shot a 75 an is only four back., and tied for ninth. Kimberley Bradbury shot 77 in the first round.
Georgia State is in first with a team score of 300, followed by Campbell and Troy who are tied for second at 304. Kennesaw State is at 305, followed by ODU at 307, one stroke ahead of Elon.
