NORFOLK, VA . - The Old Dominion men’s tennis team (11-7) fell to a very talented No. 47 UNC Wilmington (10-4) squad today by a final score of 6-1. The Tennis Monarchs will be right back in action at the same place (Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center) tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. against James Madison.
The Monarchs fought hard, but were unable to capture the doubles point against UNCW today. Carlos Lopez Villa and Abdoulaye Camara were winning their match against UNCW’s Zach Hublitz and Christiaan Van der Burgh(6-4), before the clinch rule was called into effect to halt their action.
