AUSTIN, Texas – Old Dominion University senior swimmer Sidni Hoxha will compete in the NCAA Championships held at the University of Texas later this week in the 50 and 100 freestyle.
A native of Albania, Hoxha will compete in the 50 free on Thursday at noon EST in the preliminaries, with the finals starting at 8 p.m. He will also swim in the 100 free on Saturday, also starting at noon with the finals at 8 p.m.
Hoxha set a Conference USA and ODU meet record in the 50 free two weeks ago with a time of 19.41. He also won the 100 free with a time of 42.98, which was his qualifying time for the NCAA’s.
This is the second-consecutive year that Hoxha will participate in the NCAA meet. He also qualified for the 50 and 100 free a year ago.
Hoxha is a two-time Olympian for his native Albania, competing in the 50 free in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
