NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University football held its sixth practice of the year and second in full pads on Saturday afternoon. The practice featured several full tackle scrimmages along with other competitive drills.
A beautiful day in Norfolk saw the Monarchs practice for two hours and work on the punt team, while working on inside run with the offensive and defensive line, running backs and linebackers, while the wide receivers and defensive backs worked on one-on-ones.
The scrimmages saw several big plays, including a 15-yard run from Gerard Johnson to open the scrimmage, an interception by Sandy Chapman, and a 30-yard touchdown reception from Taylor Heinicke to Zach Pascal.
