NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University sailing enjoyed a pair of top-five finishes this weekend, as the Monarch sailors competed in the McIntyre Team Race, ODU Spring Open and the Bob Bavier Team Race.
At Stanford in the McIntyre Team Race, ODU earned a fourth place finish by going 10-8 in the competition. Lee Dumaliang, Jacob Spracher and Andrea Luna were the skippers while Colin Voigt, Cady Johnson and Chloe Constants were the crew. The Monarchs defeated Northwestern, Western Washington, UC San Diego, UC Irvine and Texas A&M Galveston twice each.
At the ODU Spring Open, the Monarchs earned a fifth place finish. The team of Jill Fattibene and Jaclyn Hollander finished all 10 races in the top-six, including a second place finish in their fifth race of the day. Rachel Austin and Travis Carlisle featured three top-six finishes.
