RADIO The Monarchs radio broadcasts are on ESPN 94.1 in Hampton Roads; WZEZ 100.5 in Richmond and WBRG 104.5 FM & 1050 AM in Lynchburg, Va. Play-by-Play announcer is Ted Alexander. Billy Mann will serve as color analyst for all home games. Dave Twardzik will be a contributor to Monarch Courtside pre-game show at home games and color commentary for all road games. Rick Kiefner will host the Monarch Courtside program at home games.

 BIG BLUE 5K AND BBQ
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the ODAF, we have partnered with J&A Racing to host the inaugural ODU Big Blue 5K. This brand new spring event will debut on April 12, 2014 at 10:45am to help celebrate and kickoff the 2014 ODU Spring Football Game at 3PM at Foreman Field at S.B Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia. The 5K will take runners and walkers through the ODU campus and have them finish in Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. Registered participants will celebrate their finish at the Big Blue BBQ immediately after the race that will include food, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, live music, and an appearance by the ODU Men’s Basketball team. Race participants are then invited to attend the ODU Football Spring Game at 3:00PM. Registration is limited to 2000 participants.
