NORFOLK, Va.- ODU players Rosario Villagra, Megan Hept, Catalina Barahona and Erin Kinz granted a wish to 7th-grader Julia Baylosis and attended her Field Hockey Pep Rally at St. Pius X School.
"Julia is a bright young girl who made this whole event possible by coordinating the entire event," said St. Pius X School administrator Sister Linda.
Julia is a 12-year old field hockey player who's love of the game showed Friday as she took to the gymnasium with a big smile on her face. She envisioned a field hockey pep rally at her school over a year ago as she exclaimed that her school held basketball pep rally's but never a field hockey one.
Two months ago Julia contacted Old Dominion and asked if some of the field hockey players would be interested in attending her pep rally she was creating for Friday, March 14.
Her wish was granted Friday as ODU field hockey players Villagra, Hept and Barahona all gave time out of their spring break to attend Julia's event.
Julia and the team were able to take photos as well as writing an inspiring note to the St. Pius X standout before they left.
