Old Dominion Lacrosse will host “Youth Lacrosse Day” to promote the sport to all ages and the local community. The Lady Monarchs will play the Saint Joseph’s Hawks on Sunday, March 16 at 12:00 p.m.

Following the game, the Lady Monarchs will recognize the Chesapeake Lady Bandits Lacrosse team and other youth lacrosse groups in attendance. ODU will also be signing poster autographs after the game.

NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team plays host to the Saint Joseph's Hawks this Sunday, March 16 at noon from the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.

ODU (2-5) came up short last Thursday by a 16-13 final to the Longwood Lancers. ODU's senior attacker Emily Austerberry scored five goals, three of which came two minutes a part. The Lady Monarchs scored the last five goals in the final 2 minutes of the game. 

Lady Monarchs junior attacker Jessica Liberty leads the team with 21 points. Austerberry leads ODU with 13 goals on 35 shots and 11 draw controls. Senior defender Kallie McCormick leads Old Dominion with 17 ground balls.

ODU Lady Monarchs (2-5) vs. Saint Joseph's Hawks (3-3) Sunday 12:00 p.m.

Where: L.R. Hill Sports Complex, Norfolk, Va.

Series Record: ODU Leads 6-0. Both teams have met the last six years dating back to 2008.

Previous Meeting: Old Dominion defeated Saint Joseph's by a 9-7 final from Finnesey Field. Emily Austerberry led ODU with 3 goals and an assist in the game.

Saint Joseph's Players to Watch: Junior midfielder Julia Falcone leads the Hawks with 11 goals. Sophomore attacker Emily Bowers leads the team with 14 assists and 22 points on 16 shots. Senior defender Allison Heath leads the way for Saint Joseph's with 14 draw controls. Geneviev Giblin is 3-3 in net this season with a 8.76 goals against average and a .510 save percentage.

Scouting the Hawks: Saint Joseph's won the last game on Tuesday at Stetson by a 16-5 final. Falcone and Val Paolucci each scored four goals, while Bowers had two goals and three assists.
