NORFOLK, Va. - ODUSports.com and Monarch Media present a get to know you segment we like to call "Relax With LAX", which gives fans a chance to learn more about their favorite ODU lacrosse players.
This week's featured guest is ODU lacrosse redshirt sophomore midfielder, Morgan Gallagher. In the video Morgan describes how she started playing lacrosse, what her most memorable sports experience was, what made her commit to ODU, among other things.
A native of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Gallagher has started in all six games so far this season and has five goals and six points.
Q: What was the first thought you had when joining the lacrosse program?
A: I was excited to not have to stop playing sports. I know you can play club sports but I like the competitiveness and to be able to continue that.
Q: What is the most challenging thing you've had to do in college so far?
A: Having to deal with injuries, school and everything together has been a little bit tough.
Q: What is your most memorable sports experience?
A: The win against William & Mary. It was a team effort, everyone was so excited and it was just awesome.
Q: How did you get started here at Old Dominion?
A: Well i've played club soccer most of my life and my coach had played soccer here and we visited here a couple times, I liked the campus and it was a good fit.
Q: If you could play one sport besides lacrosse what would it be?
A: Soccer. I've played most of my life and I thought I was going to play soccer and then I found lacrosse and loved it.
