Monarchs final road game of the year will be aired locally by Cox Communications. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. (EST) with the game airing locally The game will air in Hampton Roads on Cox 114, and in West Point, Gloucester, New Kent and King and Queen counties on Cox 110.

RADIO: The Monarchs radio broadcasts are on ESPN 94.1 in Hampton Roads; WZEZ 100.5 in Richmond and WBRG 104.5 FM & 1050 AM in Lynchburg, Va. Play-by-Play announcer is Ted Alexander. Billy Mann will serve as color analyst for all home games. Dave Twardzik will be a contributor to Monarch Courtside pre-game show at home games and color commentary for all road games. Rick Kiefner will host the Monarch Courtside program at home games.

 SERIES VS. CHARLOTTE: Former Sun Belt Rivals from 1982-91. ODU leads 15-12.  ODU won the last meeting in 2009-10, 81-48 in the Constant Center. The Monarchs last win at Charlotte was in 2008-09, 69-68 on a three-point basket at the buzzer by Jonathan Adams.

 LAST GAME: Aaron Bacote  scored 22 and Richard Ross tied his career high of 19 and grabbed 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the year in the Monarchs 70-63 win over Marshall Thursday night. Freshman forward Denzell Taylor hauled down a game high 11 rebounds.  ODU shot .490 from the floor while Marshall shot .375.  ODU also outrebounded the Thundering Herd, 39-35.

THIS DAY IN ODU HISTORY: March 2, 1977, Ronnie Valentine scored 36 and Wilson Washington added 18 points and 14 rebounds as the Monarchs defeated Georgetown in the ECAC South Championship, 80-58 in McDonough Gym in Washington, DC. It was ODU’s first year in Division I.
