The Monarchs radio broadcasts are on ESPN 94.1 in Hampton Roads; WZEZ 100.5 in Richmond and WBRG 104.5 FM & 1050 AM in Lynchburg, Va. Play-by-Play announcer is Ted Alexander. Billy Mann will serve as color analyst for all home games. Dave Twardzik will be a contributor to Monarch Courtside pre-game show at home games and color commentary for all road games. Rick Kiefner will host the Monarch Courtside program at home games.

Dean's List Students : A record number of Old Dominion University student athletes earned Dean's List honors for the Fall, 2013 semester with Grade Point Averages of 3.4 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Thirty per cent, or 144 student athletes, achieved the honor and will be recognized on Feb. 27 during halftime.

SERIES VS. MARSHALL: Series is even 4-4. The last meeting between the two teams was 2009-10 season with ODU winning 70-62. Marshall defeated ODU in Huntington in 2008-09, 68-64. Marshall assistant coach Mark Cline was an ODU assistant coach from 1994-99.
LAST GAME: Aaron Bacote scored 25 points with five assists and Dimitri Batten added 17 with six rebounds in the Monarchs 71-66 loss to LA Tech. Richard Ross grabbed a game high nine rebounds, while the Bulldogs were led by Alex Hamilton with 20 and Chris Anderson with 19. LA TECH hit 8-8 from the free throw line in the final 49 seconds of the game.
THIS DAY IN ODU HISTORY :Feb. 27, 2010 – Gerald Lee scored 21 points and Frank Hassell added 17 points and six rebounds to lead ODU to a 73-70 victory over VCU in front of a sold out Constant Center to clinch first place in the CAA and top seed for the tournament. The Monarchs finished the season 14-0 at home and would go on to win the CAA tournament, advance to the NCAA second round with a win over Notre Dame.
