NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion lacrosse team is back in action when they host a 'Purple Out' against the UC Davis Aggies this Sunday, February 23 at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex beginning at 1 p.m.
Twelve-year old Hannah Goetz will be an honorary team member during Sunday's game. Fans are encouraged to wear purple to honor victims of cystic fibrosis.
Old Dominion (0-1) plays their second game of the week on Sunday after coming off a tough comeback that fell short 15-12 to the Louisville Cardinals.
Senior Emily Austerberry and freshman Connor Carson each tallied hat tricks, while sophomore midfielder Mary Margaret McCaleb and junior midfielder Christina Rea each scored two goals.
UC Davis (1-0) is coming off a 9-8 win over George Mason last Friday afternoon. Junior goalie Kai Murphy recorded 12 saves with just eight goals against.

UC Davis Players to Watch: Junior midfielder Elizabeth Landry returns as the Aggies third leading scorer from a year ago. Landry finished with 24 goals and 31 points last season. Junior Kai Murphy returns in net after recording 92 saves and having a Goals-against-average of 11.87 last season.
Scouting the Aggies: UC Davis defeated George Mason by a 9-8 final in their season opener last Friday. Junior attacker Meghan Jordan assisted on five goals while senior Carly Voris and freshman Melissa Kellan each tallied hat tricks. Last season UC Davis finished 6-9 and 3-5 in their conference.

Next up for the Lady Monarchs
ODU will travel to Stetson and Jacksonville, Florida next week beginning Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7:00 p.m. Both Stetson and Jacksonville are Atlantic Sun members and that will be a preview of a conference matchup for the Lady Monarchs when they compete in the A-Sun next season.
