RADIO
The Monarchs radio broadcasts are on ESPN 94.1 in Hampton Roads; WZEZ 100.5 in Richmond and WBRG 104.5 FM & 1050 AM in Lynchburg, Va. Play-by-Play announcer is Ted Alexander. Billy Mann will serve as color analyst for all home games. Dave Twardzik will be a contributor to Monarch Courtside pre-game show at home games and color commentary for all road games. Rick Kiefner will host the Monarch Courtside program at home games.

 SERIES VS. LA. TECHThis is the first ever meeting between the two teams in men’s basketball. The schools have a rich history in women’s basketball, playing in The 1983 FINAL FOUR at Norfolk Scope as well as the 1979 AIAW National Championship in Greensboro, NC.

 LAST GAME The Monarchs rallied from seven down with less than seven minutes left to defeat Rice, 55-51 Thursday night. Richard Ross led ODU with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Aaron Bacote added 13 and Keenan Palmore scored nine points with a career high 10 rebounds. ODU shot .382 from the field and Rice shot .348, but the Monarchs outrebounded the Owls, 43-31.  Sean Obi led Rice with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

 THIS DAY IN ODU HISTORY Feb. 22, 1976 – Wilson Washington performed one of his three career triple-doubles of his career with 10 points, 18 rebounds and 11 blocked shots against Roanoke College.
