TV/RADIO The Monarchs radio broadcasts are on ESPN 94.1 in Hampton Roads; WZEZ 100.5 in Richmond and WBRG 104.5 FM & 1050 AM in Lynchburg, Va. Play-by-Play announcer is Ted Alexander. Billy Mann will serve as color analyst for all home games. Dave Twardzik will be a contributor to Monarch Courtside pre-game show at home games and color commentary for all road games. SERIES VS. TULSA Tulsa leads, 1-0. The only meeting between the two was in the second round of the 1995 NCAA Tournament in Albany, NY. Tulsa defeated ODU 64-52. In the first round, ODU knocked off third seeded Villanova in triple overtime 89-81. Tulsa was coached by Tubby Smith. 

 LAST GAME ODU defeated North Texas, 72-62 Thursday night. Freshman guard Ambrose Mosley came off the bench to score a career high 21 points in just 13 minutes of play, followed by sophomore Aaron Bacote with 20. ODU outrebounded the Mean Green, 35-32 as Denzell Taylor and Keenan Palmore each hauled down seven rebounds. ODU shot .447 from the floor to UNT’s .320. ODU has now won four C-USA games on the road.

 THIS DAY IN ODU HISTORY Feb. 15, 1979. Behind 16 points from freshman Ronnie McAdoo, the Monarchs rallied to defeat VCU in overtime at the Richmond Coliseum, 72-71. Dana Kirk was VCU’s head coach and Paul Webb was the Moanrchs head coach. ODU would go on to reach the quarter finals of the NIT.
