NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University women’s tennis team will take on the Mountaineers from West Virginia on Saturday, Febuary 15, at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center at 12:00 p.m. The Lady Monarchs enter Saturday’s match with a 3-2 overall record.
Dom Manilla said, “I think our strength is in our depth, we have talent all the way through our lineup. West Virginia is a big school from a big conference, so you know they are going to have a lot of resources for recruiting and they are going to field a competitive team.”
Manilla continued to discuss this weekend’s opponent, “WVU’s head coach, Miha Lisac, is a very effective and hard-working coach, so I expect the Mountaineers to be at their best when they play us here on Saturday.”

Meet the 2014 West Virginia Mountaineers (1-3)
*West Virginia also plays Richmond Friday afternoon.
Most recently, the Mountaineers are coming off a 5-2 win against Cal (Pa.).
WVU features the No. 9-ranked tandem in the Atlantic Region of freshman Oana Manole and Kaja Mrgole. The Mountaineers No. 2 doubles team of Manole and Mrgole are 3-1 this season.
Hailey Barrett is the Mountaineers No. 1 singles player. The right-handed sophomore won both her matches in the team’s victory over Cal. Barrett is 2-2 in singles and also plays in the first doubles slot with Ikttesh Chahal.
Mila Lisac is in his first full season as head coach of the Mountaineers. Lisac is a former tennis player and assistant coach at Georgia State. While at GSU he guided the team to their first NCAA appearance in program history and was named the CAA Coach of the Year.
