TV/RADIO
The Monarchs radio broadcasts are on ESPN 94.1 in Hampton Roads; WZEZ 100.5 in Richmond and WBRG 104.5 FM & 1050 AM in Lynchburg, Va.Tonight’s game will be Televised and produced by Cox Communications with Ted Alexander and Dave Twardzik providing the play-by-play. The game will be aired on Cox channel 114 in Hampton Roads and 110 in West Point, New Kent and King & Queen counties. It will also be televised in the New Orleans area. Nick Cattles will provide play-by-play on radio (ESPN94.1 )with Billy Mann and Rick Kiefner.

SERIES VS. TULANE ODU leads, 2-1. The Monarchs won the first two meetings, in the 1970-71 ODU Kiwanis Classic at Scope, and 116-99 at Tulane as honorable mention All-American Ronnie Valentine scored 44 points in Dec. of 1977. The last meeting, Tulane defeated ODU in overtime, 85-80 despite 31 points from CAA Player of the Year Petey Sessoms and 31 from Mike Jones, now the head coach at DeMatha.
LAST GAME Southern Miss ended ODU’s four-game winning streak with a 75-60 victory as Neil Watson scored 28 points for the Golden Eagles. Aaron Bacote led ODU with 19 and Richard Ross scored 11 with nine rebounds. ODU outrebounded USM, 33-29, but committed 17 turnovers in which USM scored 32 points. The win was the first for Southern Miss over the Monarchs in seven tries.
THIS DAY IN ODU HISTORY Jan. 25, 1995 – ODU defeats JMU, 79-65 at Scope as Petey Sessoms scored 20 points with eight rebounds and and Mike Jones added 24.
