RADIO: The Monarchs radio broadcasts are on ESPN 94.1 in Hampton Roads; WZEZ 100.5 in Richmond and WBRG 104.5 FM & 1050 AM in Lynchburg, Va. Play-by-Play announcer is Ted Alexander. Billy Mann will Serve as color analyst for all home games. SERIES VS. FAU The two teams have met only once, in 2006-07 at ODU in the Cox Classic. ODU won, 70-55. Coach Mike Jarvis has coached against the Monarchs before when he was at George Washington. He is 3-1 vs. ODU.

 

LAST GAME

The Monarchs won their second straight C-USA road game with a 52-36 win at FIU Thursday night.Aaron Bacote led ODU with 17 points and the Monarchs outrebounded their 12th opponent in the last 13. The 36 points by FIU was just two points shy of the school opponent mark of 34 by Northeastern in 2011. Leading scorer Aaron Bacote injured his ankle and played only 10 minutes. He is listed day-to-day.

 

THIS DAY IN ODU HISTORY

Jan. 18, 1988 – ODU defeats UAB at Scope, 82-80 in the first of two overtime battles with the Blazers. Darrin McDonald led with 21 and Anthony Carver added 18 points for ODU.
