CARSON, Calif. – Former Old Dominion University offensive lineman D.J. Morrell will participate in the 2014 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. He will play for the National team and wear No. 63.
The game will be played in Carson, Calif. On Saturday, Jan. 18 and be televised on ESPN 2 at 6 p.m. EST.
The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is a premiere post-season all-star game for draft-eligible college players. The week-long schedule provides participants with a first-class professional experience while introducing them to the business of the National Football League.
At 6-6, 325, Morrell was a two-year starter on the offensive line for the Monarchs, starting all 25 games he played in. He played all 13 games at right guard in 2013 and helped the Monarchs win the CAA Championship. This season he transitioned to right tackle, where he started 10 games while starting two at right guard.
Morrell’s National team will be coached by former NFL Head Coach, Dick Vermeil, while the American team will be led by former NFL Head Coach, Dennis Green.
