Video, video, and more video.
There’s no question that one of the best ways to sell your story in college recruiting is through the use of video, and Old Dominion University’s football program is unveiling its latest video marketing tool for prospective student-athletes.
Old Dominion contracted this fall with the Bluechip Media Group to produce several short videos geared toward potential recruits. Bluechip spent several days on campus in September shooting campus scenes, game day and locker room footage and gathering sound bites with coaches. With the NCAA’s signing day for football just 31 days away on Feb. 5, the videos are ready for viewing by fans as well as recruits at: http://vimeo.com/channels/odugameday
“We are excited to show future recruits and our fan base an inside look at our program,” says ODU head football coach Bobby Wilder. “These videos allow all to see our great University on game day, our program’s Aim High philosophy, and what an incredible area Hampton Roads is to live. With our transition to F.B.S. football and C-USA, these videos also allow future recruits and their families from all over the country to see what a special place Old Dominion University is 365 days of the year.”
In the near future, the videos will also be available for viewing through an APP for IPads and phones.
