IRVING, Texas – Old Dominion University’s senior defender, Nikki Clarke, has been named to the 2013 Conference USA Women’s Soccer All-Academic First Team, as announced by C-USA officials on Tuesday afternoon.
Eleven student-athletes were named to each of Conference USA’s All Academic First and Second Teams.
Clarke (Annandale, Va.) played in all 71 possible games throughout her four-year career at Old Dominion. She currently holds a 3.78 GPA as a criminal justice and sociology double major with a minor in psychology. Nikki has been named to the Dean's List every semester (all six) while at ODU. Clarke's diligence in the classroom has been contagious as she helped elevate the team's APR score to 995 this past season.
The senior defender from Annandale, Va. anchored the Lady Monarch’s defense with high energy, intelligent and tough play, as well as a powerful clearing boot. Clarke was named to the 2013 JMU All Tournament team earlier this season. Nikki is also an active member of the Student Activities Council at Old Dominion.
