GREENVILLE, NC—ODU senior Elizabeth Haycock (Birmingham, England) tied for 10th , fellow senior Kimberley Bradbury tied for 12 and Gemma Fuster tied for 15th to lead the Lady Monarchs to fifth at the ECU Lady Pirate Intercollegiate.
As a team, the Lady Monarchs completed the 54-hole tournament at 909, just 12 strokes back of tournament champion East Tennessee State (897).
Haycock shot 77-71-76 for a 224 score which was nine strokes back of Avery George of Middle Tennessee State who won the event by three strokes over Amanda Steinhagen of Longwood. Kimberley Bradbury shot 73-74-79=226, followed by Gemma Fuster at 75-77-75=227.
Haycock finished the tournament tied for first in par 5 scoring at 4.58 (-5), while Gemma Fuster was fourth in par 5 scoring at 4.75 (-3). Kimberley Bradbury tied for 10th in par 4 scoring at 4.23 (+7).
The Lady Monarchs return to action, Oct. 20 and 21 at the Campbell University Fightin’ Camels Tournament in Buies Creek, NC.
