NORFOLK, Va. - Junior Rosario Villagra scored three goals (her second consecutive game with a hat trick) to help lead the Lady Monarchs to a 7-0 win and their fourth consecutive victory. The Lady Monarchs improve to 5-6 while the Hoyas fall to 2-10.

"I was very pleased that we didn't allow a shot on goal in today's game - our midfield and backfield did a nice job denying Georgetown attacking opportunities," said ODU head coach Andrew Griffiths. "We also moved the ball effectively and created a lot of quality scoring chances."

Villagra gave the Monarchs a 1-0 lead at 13:28 while standing in front of the net and putting away the loose ball. This story should sound familiar. Villagra also scored the opening goal in the Lady Monarchs 7-0 win against Quinnipiac last Sunday.  Villagra added her sixth goal of the year at 21:20. Senior Christy Longacre scored her second goal of the year at 22:43 with an assist going to Emily Harting. Harting would add her own goal at 31:16 in the first half for her second goal of the year. In the second half, Old Dominion forward Villagra got the Lady Monarchs going again with her seventh of the year at 45:56 with assists going to Harting and Katy Fuhrman. Senior Dani Clutter scored her second of the year at 55:04 with assists to Kelsey Smither and Longacre. And at 56:24 freshman Casey Dolan scored her first goal as a Lady Monarch with an assist to Sarah Breen.

ODU recorded a season high in shots outshooting the Hoyas 34-1. The Lady Monarchs have outshot their last two opponents by a combined 55-4. ODU also had 16 penalty corners to the Hoyas 1.  ODU Sophomore goalkeeper Megan Hept recorded her second consecutive shutout, has only allowed one goal in her last three games and received her fifth win on the year. Georgetown keeper Rosalie Nolen stopped 14 shots on the day.

ODU continue conference action when they play Villanova on the road Friday at 7 p.m from Philadelphia.
