BUIES CREEKS, NC— Old Dominion University senior Elizabeth Haycock (Birmingham, England) shot 73 in the final round to finish in a three-way tie for the Fighting Camel Collegiate Tournament with a 221 score. As a team, the Lady Monarchs finished second to the host Camels.
Haycock (73-75-73=221) finished in a tie with Kaylin Yost of Campbell and Mary Alice Murphy of Mercer. Fellow Lady Monarchs, senior Kimberly Bradbury (Derbyshire, England) finished fifth at 223, two strokes back after shooting 77 in the final round. Freshman Rachel Walker (Dumfries, Scotland) also shot 77 today to finish at 225 and tied for eighth, four back. Senior Gemma Fuster (Barcelona, Spain) shot 75 to finish at 228 and 15th.
Campbell won the event with an 887, followed by ODU at 897 and Mercer was third at 907.
