BUIES CREEK, NC—Old Dominion University senior Kimberley Bradbury (Derbyshire, England) fired 72-74 for a two round 146 score to lead the Fighting Camel Classic by two strokes. Fellow Lady Monarch teammates, Elizabeth Haycock and Rachel Walker are tied for second at 148. As a team, the Lady Monarchs are in second three strokes back of host school Campbell.
Bradbury had five birdies, four in the second, Haycock tallied six, and Walker had three along with an eagle on 12 in the second round. A total of five players are tied for second with both Haycock and Walker. The other three are Lisabeth Brooks of Campbell, Kim Mitchell of Western Carolina and Kaylin Yost of Campbell. Senior Gemma Fuster rounds out the Lady Monarchs in the top 20 with her 77-76=153.
ODU shot 296 in the first 18 and 299 in the second for 595, three strokes behind Campbell who shot 302-290 for 592. The final round is Tuesday.
